Kate: "Sweet dreams, lovie." Madeline: "Mommy, I'm going to dream of an M&M as big as a car."
...Now I will too.
Madeline wanders up to me as I am preparing lunch at the kitchen counter. Her nose is the exact distance from the floor as my belly button; she places her face up against my stomach. Unsuspecting, I lean in to snuggle her - and jump three feet in the air when she SCREAMS:
"HEY BROTHER! I'M MADELINE! I'M YOUR BIG SISTER!! I'M HELPING MOMMY SAND YOUR DRESSER BECAUSE I'M A GREAT BIG SISTER!"
The cat is still hiding under the bed.
She gets it from her mother, of whom there are home videos wherein she unwraps all of her little brother's birthday presents. (Sorry, Michael.) I insisted I was "helping," because I was such a GREAT big sister.
